WKB organized its first school workshop on 25 October 2021 to educate students on the environment, environmental pollution, causes of pollution with a particular focus on water, air and noise pollution of Dhaka city. This was a half-day long event (10 am – 1:30 pm) organized at Basila High School by the riverside of Buriganga.
The school workshop was organized in two segments.

Starting at 10:00 am, the first part was an opinion exchange meeting with teachers, the school management committee, parents and representatives of Buriganga Nodi Morcha (Buriganga River Coalition). Presided over by the headteacher of Basila High School Mr. Mohammad Solaiman, the meeting was addressed by Mr. Sharif Jamil, Coordinator, Waterkeeper Bangladesh as the main speaker. Mr. Anowar Hossain, President of the school management committee addressed the meeting as the chief guest.

The second part was the workshop with students and teachers (started at 11:00 am) where participants discussed the environment, causes of environmental pollution and what to do. Teachers and students attended an oath-taking session to prevent river, air and noise pollution. Workshop sessions were facilitated by Md. Kamruzzaman and M M Kabir Mamun from Waterkeepers Bangladesh. Hygiene and educational materials were distributed among participant students in the workshop. The students also took oath to fight environmental pollution.
