On February 27, 2022, Promoting Advocacy and Rights (PAR) Activity organized an in person workshop on ‘Initiatives between grantees and government actors for the government stakeholders, community leaders and grantees.
The objective of the session was to understand the citizen charter in participant’s respective fields and areas of work and implement the charter for the benefit of the citizen and society as a whole.
Dr. Mohammad Abdul Wazed, Additional Secretary (Retired) was engaged as the consultant for this workshop, there were 22 (8 women and 14 men) participants including senior level from government departments such as Deputy Secretary and PS to Chairman of Standing Committee for MoEF&CC, Deputy Director for Department of environment, Assistant Engineer for Khulna WASA, Executive Engineer Mechanical and Chief Conservancy Office for Khulna City Corporation, Chief engineer for Khulna Development Authority and Additional Chief Waste Management Officer for Dhaka North City Corporation, community representative and NGOs representatives attended the unique workshop.
Mainuddin Ahmed, CoP of PAR, inaugurated the session and underscored the importance of the workshop on Citizen Charter, as a tool for the public administration in the millennium to provide services to the citizens that ensures transparency, responsibility and accountability is becoming popular all over the world. Sumana Binte Masud, Project Management Specialist- Civil Society Advisor, USAID/ Bangladesh attended the session and provided her remarks.
