Description
This report describes the Monitoring Framework (MF), thereby generalizing the priority issues/outcomes, their justification, indicators, specifications, key relevant stakeholders, and data sources.
The main objectives of this MF are to determine the present situation, practices, and extent of the improvement in the service delivery regarding WATSAN, drainage, and waste management systems of KCC. Moreover, this MF assists the KCC in making future management decisions in terms of utility services to the city dwellers.
There are five priority issues/outcomes in this MF that include (1) monitoring of WATSAN, drainage and waste management infrastructures and services, (2) solid waste collection and management by KCC, community, CSOs and private sectors, (3) functional water points, drains, sewerage systems and waste management services, (4) allocation of more budget, manpower and other logistics, and (5) citizens’ awareness and engagement of diversified stakeholders in monitoring, water supply and
waste management.
