I am Ainunnuahar. I have come from Mymensingh. My organization’s name is Trinamool Nari Unnayan Sangstha. I also work as a woman entrepreneur, and my organization is Trinamul Karupannya. I am also the President of Mymensingh Women Entrepreneurship Foundation. I have been working on advocacy for various issues of women. In the meantime, we have been able to make a success at one point that we have had very strong demands. In that case, I would say that I had the privilege of attending various project seminars and workshops which is arranged by PAR and I was able to use that knowledge.
We had a long demand that our Mymensingh will be free from child marriage, for this initiative time to time if we got news from different areas that, a girl under the age of 18 is getting married, our team went there immediately, and we did inform the District women officer and the Upojila office, Finally stop it by the help of them. We especially did community-based advocacy. When the child marriage number increased a lot, we arranged meetings with the community and the guardians.
We were then able to convince the guardians that, we want to make Mymensingh free from child marriage and the first target was won community. We contacted the principals of different schools and asked permission for a session for the student of their school for advocacy. As a result of this, our Mymensingh has been declared free from Child Marriage on last December 11th, 2019.
The representatives of all levels, including the administration, Divisional Commissioner, District Commissioner, and Department of Women Affairs directors who connected with us here, have declared the area free of child marriage, and we call it a wonderful success story. And in this case, PAR Project helps us a lot, where has many collaborations for able to advocacy system-wise with follow the guideline. One more thing I have been working on, I have been working on for a long time to integrate women into the mainstream of the economy. It is also a community-based work. I am counseling them to be entrepreneurship and be economically self-depended.
We are working according to the PAR Project guidance for advocacy. Inshallah Now I think Mymensingh is now far ahead in the economic empowerment of women all over Bangladesh.

আমি আইনুন্নাহার। আমি ময়মনসিংহ থেকে এসেছি। আমার প্রতিষ্ঠানের নাম তৃণমূল নারী উন্নয়ন সংস্থা। এছাড়াও আমি নারী উদ্যোক্তা হিসেবে কাজ করি, আমার প্রতিষ্ঠান তৃণমূল কারুপন্ন। আমি ময়মনসিংহ নারী উদ্যোক্তা ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রেসিডেন্ট হিসেবেও কাজ করছি সেই নারীদের বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে আমি এডভোকেসি কাজ করে যাচ্ছি। ইতোমধ্যে আমাদের একটা বিষয় যেটা অনেক জোরালো দাবি ছিল সেটাকে আমরা সফল করতে পেরেছি। সেক্ষেত্রে আমি বলব পার প্রজেক্টের বিভিন্ন সেমিনার এবং ওয়ার্কশপে যোগ দেয়ার সৌভাগ্য আমার হয়েছিল এবং আমি সেটা কাজে লাগাতে পেরেছি।
আমাদের দীর্ঘদিনের দাবি ছিল যে আমাদের ময়মনসিংহ বাল্য বিবাহ মুক্ত হবে সেক্ষেত্রে আমরা বিভিন্ন সময়ে বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে খবর আসত যে আঠারো বছরের নিচে কোন মেয়ের বিয়ে হয়ে যাচ্ছে, আমরা সেখানে টিম নিয়ে চলে যেতাম কাজ করার জন্য এবং জেলা প্রশাসনিক কর্মকর্তাকে এবং উপজেলা অফিসে খবর দিয়েছি উনাদের সহযোগীতা নিয়েও আমরা কাজ করেছি। আমরা মূলত কমিউনিটি বেসড এডভোকেসি করেছি। যখন বাল্য বিবাহের প্রবণতা অনেক বেড়ে গেল সেক্ষেত্রে আমরা কমিউনিটির সাথে বসতাম, অভিভাবকদের নিয়ে বসার চেষ্টা করেছি। আমরা অভিভাবকদেরকে বোঝাতে পেরেছি যে আমরা ময়মনসিংহকে বাল্য বিবাহ মুক্ত করতে চাই এবং প্রথম লক্ষ্য আমার এলাকা, একটা কমিউনিটি।
আমরা বিভিন্ন স্কুলের প্রিন্সিপালদের সাথে যোগাযোগ করেছি এবং সেখানে ছাত্রীদের একটা সেশন নেয়ার অনুমতি চেয়েছি এবং এডভোকেসি করেছি। এভাবে কাজ করে যাওয়ার ফলে গত কালকে ১১ ডিসেম্বর ২০১৯ আমাদের ময়মনসিংহ বাল্য বিবাহ মুক্ত ঘোষিত হয়েছে। সেখানে আমাদের সাথে সংযুক্ত ছিলেন প্রশাসন, বিভাগীয় কমিশনার, জেলা প্রশাসক এবং মহিলা বিষয়ক অধিদপ্তর সহ সকল পর্যায়ের জনপ্রতিনিধিরা সম্পৃক্ত হয়ে আমরা এলাকাকে বাল্য বিবাহ মুক্ত ঘোষণা করে পেরেছি, এটাকে আমাদের একটা সাক্সেস স্টোরি বলব। আর এই ক্ষেত্রে পার প্রজেক্টের অনেক অনেক সহযোগীতা ছিল, আমরা সিস্টেম ওয়াইজ এবং গাইডলাইন অনুযায়ি এডভোকেসি করতে পেরেছি। আরও একটি বিষয় নিয়ে আমি কাজ করে যাচ্ছি, আমি নারীদের অর্থনীতির মূল স্রতধারায় সম্পৃক্ত করার লক্ষ্যে কাজ করে যাচ্ছি দীর্ঘদিন যাবত। সেটাও আমি কমিউনিটি বেসড করে যাচ্ছি। উদ্যোক্তা সৃষ্টির ক্ষেত্রে তাদেরকে কাউন্সিলিং করে যাচ্ছি যেন আমরা প্রত্যেকেই অর্থনৈতিকভাবে স্বাবলম্বী হতে পারি।
পার প্রজেক্টের এডভোকেসির গাইডলাইন অনুসারে আমরা কাজ করে যাচ্ছি। ইনশাল্লাহ এখন আমি মনে করি সারা বাংলাদেশের ভেতরে ময়মনসিংহ এখন অনেক দূর এগিয়ে নারীদের অর্থনৈতিক ক্ষমতায়নের ক্ষেত্রে।
