On February 23, 2022, the Promoting Advocacy and Rights (PAR) activity organized a “Right to Information and the Right to Information Act, 2009” Workshop facilitated by ICNL. 24 participants (6 women, 18 men) were in attendance, including USAID’s Project Management Specialist – Civil Society Advisor and AOR, Sumana Binte Masud.
The objective of the event was to enhance CSOs’ capacity to use the Right to Information Act as a tool to make government more accountable and enable participation in decision-making processes. Dustha Shasthya Kendra (DSK) consortium, and the Water Keepers’ Bangladesh (WKB) consortium and their community member and other marginalized CSOs were present at the event.
