Dhaka CALLING project organized a Round Table discussion jointly with the Daily Bhorer Kagoj having the title of ‘4R Road Map on Solid Waste Management’ on October 13, 2022. The main focus of the discussion was how the 4R Road Map align with the vision statement of the government so that efficient policy options can be pursued, adopted, and negotiated with the government for better implementations through media engagement.
The meeting was made a success with the kind presence of Chief Guest Mr. Atiqul Islam, Honorable Mayor, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and the Guest of Honor, Mr. Swapan Bhattacharjee, MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. The Special Guest of the event was Mr. Mainuddin Ahmed, Chief of Party, Counterpart International. The event was Chaired by Dr. Dibalok Singh, Executive Director, DSK and Moderated by Mr. Shyamal Dutta, Editor, the Daily Bhorer Kagoj. The draft 4R Road Map on SWM has been presented by Dr. Ijaz Hossain, Retired Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, BUET.
