Dhaka CALLING project arranged two community level programs at Korail Slum on April 26, 2022 titled “CBOs Social Mobilization Events” and “Demonstration Community Lead Waste Management System (CLWMS)”. Main purpose of the Social Mobilization Event was to raise awareness and exchange knowledge gaps among CBOs, community members and LGIs. The event will also sensitize media, service providers, and respective authorities to come forward to respond to citizens’ needs.
In the presence of Alhaj Md Mofizur Rahman, Councilor, Ward-19, DNCC and elite persons of the community vans, safety kits were handed over to the community people and waste collectors during the opening ceremony of Demonstration on Community Lead Waste Management System (CLWMS). During these events community leaders, youth leaders, community people, media persons, representatives of DSK Consortium members, representatives of PAR team of Counterpart International were present there.
